This policy explains how Foodquip collects, uses, stores and shares personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Foodquip is a division of Winequip. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Winequip Pty Ltd, ABN 78 958 709 226, trading as Foodquip, of 10 Lucknow Crescent, Thomastown VIC 3074.
What we collect
- Enquiries and quote requests: your name, email, phone number, business name, the product you are asking about and your message.
- Orders: your name, billing and delivery addresses, email, phone number and what you ordered.
- Payments: payments are made through PayPal. We receive confirmation that you have paid, but we do not see or store your card or PayPal login details.
- Website use: information such as your IP address, browser and device, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our site (for example a search engine or an ad), collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Other contact: anything you tell us by phone, email or in person, for example about warranty, service or spare parts.
You can browse our site without telling us who you are. If you don’t give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or fulfil your order.
How we use it
- To answer enquiries and prepare quotes.
- To process, deliver and support your orders, including warranty, service and spare parts.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it, and to measure our advertising.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- other parts of the Winequip business that help with your enquiry, order, delivery or service;
- freight and courier companies delivering your order;
- PayPal, to process payments;
- providers who run our website and email, including our web host (SiteGround), Cloudflare, and Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, reCAPTCHA spam protection, Maps and YouTube);
- our professional advisers, and government bodies where the law requires it.
Overseas storage
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in Singapore (where our website is hosted), the United States and other countries where Google, Cloudflare and PayPal operate. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses cookies to keep your cart working, to protect our forms from spam, and to understand how visitors use the site through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. We also use Google Ads to measure the results of our advertising. YouTube videos on product pages only load, and set cookies, once you press play. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, such as the cart, may not work without them.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to our systems. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records), and then delete or de-identify it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. We don’t charge for access requests, but may charge a reasonable administrative fee for providing copies.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
